Review

Today’s teen book review is actually my own book – The Perfect Blindside.

This Christian, adventurous, teen mystery is set in the mountains of Colorado. It is the story of two teens – Jake, a silver-medal winning snowboarder, and Sophie an aspiring journalist. When Jake, and his inflated ego, move to the small town of Silver Springs, Colorado, Sophie is less than thrilled. Her hopes to avoid the arrogant, self-absorbed celebrity are dashed when the two find themselves solving a mystery together in the town’s abandoned gold mine. The underlying message of this story is something near and dear to my heart – using your gifts from God to help others.

This YA novel is full of adventure, mystery, innocent romance, humor and faith. It was awarded an Illumination Christian Book Award Silver Medal and a First Place Catholic Press Association Award. And if your family enjoys the Olympics – it’s the perfect book to get you in the mood for the upcoming games!

A Note From the Reviewer:

As a writer and a mother, I’m always searching for wonderful Christian books for teens of all ages. I truly believe one way we can encourage teens in their faith is through fiction with positive messages, embedded in great stories. There are many fantastic Christian and Catholic teen novels out today but they can be hard to find. I’m excited to share some of these books with you.
